Who I Am and Why I Need You
January 21, 2012, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Burton Barr Central Library (Pulliam Auditorium) in Phoenix Please join us for this exciting opportunity to learn more about youth in foster care. Arizona has over 11,000 children in foster care today and over 500 youth in group homes and shelters right here in Maricopa County.
At "Who I Am and Why I Need You", you'll hear from foster parents and youth that have been in foster care. We'll share what it's like to foster youth, why it's so important for youth to be in a family environment, and current statistics for youth in foster care today. We'll also have information available about youth currently in group homes and shelters that need foster families, either temporarily or long-term, or are looking for forever families through adoption.
This event is a collaborative effort of the KIDS Consortium and its member agencies and is funded by AZDES-DCYF.
